Spring Mountain Vineyard is the proud owner of perhaps the largest land holding on the eastern slopes of Spring Mountain, with at least 850 acres currently owned. With at least 130 distinct vineyard blocks there is a nice balance here between having sufficient production so that you can actually find the wine locally and also having smaller production blocks in order to keep quality at the highest possible level. With a relatively new set of wine caves and a historic facility once used as part of Falcon Crest, Spring Mountain Vineyard, is at least according to this wine club owner, one of the nicest and most picturesque spots to visit during a trip to the historic Napa Valley wine region. Lastly, if you’re a history fan it’s also nice to note that the winery is currently owned by a group led by former Inglenook winemaker and Sterling President Tom Ferrell.
